I began painting in childhood with the encouragement of my grandfather who was an artist and then attending the children's art classes at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.  I went on to study and exhibit in what became a lifelong pursuit of exploring visual art in its various forms.

My artistic practice and vision has evolved over the years.  I am grateful to various institutions and artists: Mount Allison University, the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD), the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Portrait Gallery (London), Haliburton School of Art, Lila Lewis Irving, Barry Coombs, Chinkok Tan, Steve Simon and others. I like exchanging ideas with other artists and those who appreciate art at the Women's Art Association of Canada and the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto and with the staff  and artists I encounter at public and private galleries and events in my travels.

Artist Bio

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.

There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.
